These services are available at our facilities in Bellwood, IL and Melrose Park, IL or via our scheduled pick-up services for commercial customers.


2. Use of Services

By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are at least 18 years old or have explicit permission from a legal guardian to use our services.
  • You will provide accurate and truthful information when submitting inquiries, scheduling services, or completing transactions.
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding scrap metal recycling and waste disposal.
  • You will not engage in fraudulent, illegal, or misleading activities while using our services.

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel transactions if we suspect non-compliance with these terms.


3. Accepted & Restricted Materials

3.1 Accepted Materials

We accept a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including:

  • Steel, iron, and cast iron
  • Aluminum, copper, and brass
  • Stainless steel and nickel alloys
  • Lead, zinc, and other recyclable metals

All materials must be free of contaminants and comply with Cozzi Recycling’s quality standards.

3.2 Restricted & Prohibited Materials

We strictly prohibit the following materials:

  • Hazardous waste, radioactive materials, and toxic substances
  • Explosives, flammable substances, and firearms
  • Sealed containers or items under pressure
  • Asbestos-containing materials
  • Any other material that violates local, state, or federal laws

Cozzi Recycling reserves the right to inspect, reject, or confiscate any material suspected to be non-compliant.


4. Pricing & Payments

4.1 Scrap Metal Pricing

Our pricing is based on:

  • Market fluctuations in scrap metal value
  • Material type, weight, and condition
  • Volume and frequency of recycling transactions

Prices are subject to daily changes and are determined at the time of transaction.

4.2 Weighing & Verification

All transactions are conducted using certified weight scales at our facilities. Customers have the right to request verification of weight before finalizing a sale.

4.3 Payment Terms

  • Payments are processed upon completion of material verification and weighing.
  • Cozzi Recycling reserves the right to withhold payment or request additional verification if fraud, theft, or misrepresentation is suspected.

5. Drop-Off & Pick-Up Services

5.1 Drop-Off Services

  • Customers may bring accepted scrap materials to Bellwood or Melrose Park during regular business hours.
  • Customers are responsible for unloading materials safely and following all posted safety guidelines.
  • Government-issued identification may be required for certain transactions in compliance with local laws.

5.2 Pick-Up Services

  • Commercial customers may schedule pick-up services based on availability.
  • The customer must ensure that the scrap is accessible and properly stored in containers or designated areas.
  • Additional fees may apply for rush orders, non-standard loads, or excessive wait times during pickup.

Cozzi Recycling is not responsible for delays due to inclement weather, road conditions, or unforeseen logistical challenges.


6. Compliance & Safety Regulations

6.1 Compliance with Laws

All customers must comply with federal, state, and local laws regarding scrap metal sales, transportation, and recycling. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Providing proper documentation for regulated metals
  • Complying with weight restrictions and transport regulations
  • Ensuring that materials are lawfully obtained and free of theft or illegal sourcing

Failure to comply may result in legal action, transaction denial, or law enforcement involvement.

6.2 Safety Policy

For the safety of our staff and customers:

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required for certain areas.
  • Customers must follow all posted safety guidelines while on-site.

Cozzi Recycling reserves the right to deny entry to individuals who violate safety regulations or pose a risk to facility operations.

  • Customers assume full responsibility for unloading, handling, and transporting materials safely.
  • We are not responsible for errors in material grading or pricing discrepancies resulting from external market changes.

7.2 No Warranty

Cozzi Recycling provides services on an “as-is” basis. We make no guarantees regarding the market value of scrap metal, service availability, or uninterrupted operations.

7.3 Indemnification

By using our services, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cozzi Recycling, its employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or legal disputes arising from misuse of services, violation of these terms, or third-party liabilities.
